Consultations
Consultation calls are intended for prospective clients to have an opportunity to connect with a counsellor before booking an initial session. Through this conversation, you can hopefully gain a sense of the counsellor's personality and style, and allow you to ask questions based on your specific needs. While your counsellor will have some question prompts to help guide the conversation, should you need it, this consultation is intended to support you in making the best decision before booking with a counsellor.
Consultations normally occur over the phone; please expect a call from a private number at the scheduled time of the consultation. If you prefer in-person or virtual, please connect with the counsellor in advance to ensure their availability.
In-Person Counselling - RCC
Therapy is offered by an RCC for insurance purposes.
Counselling, also known as therapy or psychotherapy, is a space for you to explore the journey you've embarked on, reflect on the experiences you carry with you, and bolster your awareness and insight. In your sessions, you'll explore your understanding of your world, both internal and external, and how that impacts your perspective on the world, your relationships, your personality, your work, and how you think and feel. Your counsellor will position you as the expert in your life, and work with you to find the answers, direction, or understanding you are seeking. Whether working through an experience or developing new habits or skills, counselling is a place to feel welcome, safe, and heard.
Please note that all in-person sessions are hosted at 206-347 Leon Ave., Kelowna, BC. You will receive the address and a map in your email upon confirmation.

Couples Counselling
Through couples counselling, you can work with your counsellor to support the overall wellbeing and communication within your relationship.
Therapy is offered by an RCC for insurance purposes.
If you've done individual counselling in the past, you know that your counsellor focuses on your needs and helps you to work through your concerns, barriers, and obstacles to improve your life. There are a variety of techniques, skills, and modalities that are most effective in individual therapy. Couples counselling, by contrast, places the focus on the relationship, exploring barriers and obstacles to relationship building, communication, and cohesion. The counsellor will see the couple together or as individuals depending on the specific issues the relationship is working through and where they are in the clinical treatment plan.
Regardless of whether the counsellor is working with the couple together or separately, the counsellor's "client" is the relationship. Your counsellor therefore cannot hold information that impacts the relationship, and individuals should be aware that this information may need to be shared with their partner to continue therapy. The counsellor will work to empower individuals to share challenging information with their partner through the therapeutic process.
Please note that all in-person sessions are hosted at 206-347 Leon Ave., Kelowna, BC. You will receive the address and a map in your email upon confirmation.
If you want a virtual session, please discuss it with your counsellor (particularly if it's your first virtual session) so they can send everyone involved a meeting link.
Family Counselling
Through family counselling, you can work with your counsellor to support the overall health and relationships within your family unit.

The counsellor balances confidentiality with individuals and the family by empowering individuals to consider how content discussed separately impacts the family unit and how to address those impacts together.
